Helen worked with Oasis Community Learning from June 2007, providing professional HR services in the early stages of establishing ourselves in the provision of education through Academies. She guided us through the complexities of taking over schools and gave us direction through the legislation and technical issues, with respect to establishing our first three Academies in 2007.

Helen proved invaluable in establishing good working relationships with the large number of unions who are involved, in the transition from being a Local Authority school to becoming an Academy. She provided structure and process through the staff meetings and formal consultations, matching and ring fencing elements of the transition.

Once the Academies were established, and in order for them to function well, Helen provided ongoing HR advice to our newly established, centrally based HR team until December 2007.
